I loved this book! I know I say that a lot, but how can I not love a book?
In this book there are five points of view. At first it was a little confusing on who's point of view it was, but it I caught on easily. I also liked how it involves werewolves instead of vampires.
Anna and Charles are sent into the mountains in Montana to stop this rouge wolf that is killing everything, but then it turns out to be something completely different. I don't want to say to much because it will give it away, but it's pretty intense. Along the way they make a new friend, Walter, who was Changed by the rouge wolf. He ends up helping them and saving Anna's life.
Asil is another character that is introduced. He is one of the oldest werewolves around and has a pretty scary past. His wife/mate was killed by someone (don't want to spoil) and then was after him. He was traveling and hiding, but after a while he decided to go back to Montana. He helps in the end as well.
Bran is the father of Charles and is also the Morrack, which is the leader of all North American Packs. He is the one that sends Charles and Anna on their little adventure, but when things started getting crazy he felt he needed to help.
The romance is this book is there, but you have to squint your eyes to see it, not literally of course. It's the small things that make it romantic such as when Charles gives Anna the option to leave, but it literally hurts him to think about her leaving because he loves her so much or when he does everything to protect her. There is a scene where the saying "when two people love each other very much they get together..." comes to mind. If you know what I mean.
All in all I loved this book, and can't wait to start reading the second book!
