Kissed By An Angel, by Elizabeth Chandler, was a thrilling romance/mystery that I couldn't put down. It brings a perfectly normal world crashing into the unknown, full of angels, secrets, and lies. Tristan Carruthers, the best swimmer on his high school swim team, had all the girls after him, suddenly falls in love with Ivy Lyons when she moves in with her wealthy step-dad. Unfortunately, disaster strikes when a car crash kills Tristan, leaving Ivy desolate without him. Nothing seems to make her back to her old self, until she discovers Tristan never actually left her. He is still there by Ivy's side, in the form of an angel. She quickly finds out that Tristan is there to save her from some disaster that's about to happen in the future. DEATH. With a mystery beginning to form, Ivy no longer knows who to trust. Gregory, her new step-brother, seems to want to be more than friends? Or Eric, her step-brothers drug crazed best friend who seems to be good at heart? She even turns against her little brother. Clue after clue, the clock is ticking, and Tristan only has so much time left with Ivy. This book was truly brilliant. Overall, I really enjoyed how Ivy doesn't seem to put together pieces until the end, when its almost too late. Although there is a part in the middle of the book that drags, I found it gripping, especially when the murders began... I would recommend this book to anyone over the age of 12.
